Now we’ll cast a tiny bit of spell against the mechanic coldness around us. The focus of our today’s attention is barcodes – these ubiquitous symbols of overwhelming consumer civilization. But who said that barcodes cannot be a form of design art? There’re people who manage to transform boring, same-looking number of thin and fat lines with a few numbers printed below them into a terrific brand assets by playing around some interesting visuals. Mundane apart – now you’ll see common barcodes being turned to indeed creative designs, yet still able to scan like a regular barcode.

    There are very creative bar codes. I wonder why you don’t see stuff like this on actual product packaging. I don’t ever see anything except the plain old boring bar codes.
