Metz Railway Station. An unidentified tower in Metz. Couldn't find any more information on it - the only sign on it mentioned bike hire! Photo by me. Edit: This is a water tower, built during the german annexion. Indeed the word "annexion" is not really right, because there was a treaty between France and Germany. Château d'eau construit par les allemands et mis en service en même temps que la gare de METZ, destiné à approvisionner en eau les locomotives à vapeur. |
